- Problems to date (5 July 2005)
We have encountered several problems involving aligning pictures. Photo series taken without a tripod tend to show slight translation and rotation differences. Evem when the camera is in a fixed position, the motion of pressing the button moves the camera slightly. Also, most of the interesting subjects we have come across are surrounded by people. It is not possible to leave our camera in a position for an extended amount of time. It is also not possible to repeatedly place the camera in a position correctly. The nature of our project requires us to take pictures over an extended period of time. This can become a problem because most of the settings we have observed physically change through out the day. People, cars, trees, and water all move. Also, some of the interesting sites we have been to we could not return to without repaying admission.
